Usually we hear about the flooding that occurs from rain, storm, but sometimes we have one that can be caused by melting snow. It was a lot in the winter of 1996-97 a series of winter storms, which accumulate huge amounts of snow swamp known Dakota Territory. Only this year received a record 117 inches with 98.6 inches falling two cities, respectively, during the winter.
